“A solid challenge will bring forth your finest abilities.”

Fortune Cookie

While I call home, Charleston, South Carolina, I have spent my life traveling and moving around. As a child, my family and I lived in Belgium, Sweden and England for six years. As I grew up, we moved throughout the United States including California, Texas, Michigan and South Carolina. After attending MICA, I continued to explore in hopes I will find my permanent home. Recently, I had the opportunity to teach in the beautiful city of Sanya, in Hainan, China. These experiences have developed, in me, a value of human connection and a passion for the arts because it has been my constant in an ever-changing environment.

After receiving my BFA in Painting and Master of Arts in Teaching, I have dedicated my life to engaging learners in life-long lessons and the pursuit of creative problem solving, risk taking and celebration of personal identity.

This site contains a selection of works that exhibit my tendencies and styles as a artist and educator. My work is mainly about process. It is action, reaction and finding harmony in elements of color, texture and space. I embrace unpredictability and challenges with mediums and applications. Beneath these aesthetic concepts, lies a philosophical question about time, degradation and the perception of intentional and unintentional beauty.
